RB Leipzig signs ex-professional Schuppan
RB Leipzig has signed Sebastian Schuppan to support sporting director Rouven Schröder. The ex-professional comes as a sports consultant and will report to Schröder in the areas of squad planning, scouting and academy. The club made the announcement on Friday. Schröder has been solely responsible for sporting matters since the dismissals of sporting director Max Eberl and sports coordinator Felix Krüger.
Schuppan ended his career in 2020, during which he played for Arminia Bielefeld, Energie Cottbus and Dynamo Dresden, among others. The 37-year-old made almost 350 appearances in the Bundesliga 2 and Bundesliga 3. From November 2020 to October 2021, Schuppan worked as Head of Sport at Würzburger Kickers and also acted as interim coach in the meantime.
RB Leipzig's latest addition, Sebastian Schuppan, brings his extensive experience to assist in sports planning and scouting within the club's Bundesliga squad. With his background in Bundesliga 2 and Bundesliga 3, Schuppan's insights could potentially benefit RB Leipzig in their future matches.
