Reports reveal that around 260 people, including three people from Europe, were nabbed at an event that was disbanded in Iran. Fars agency claims the police labeled it a "Satanist network." In Shahriyar, a suburb outside of Tehran, 73 vehicles, alcohol, and psychoactive substances were seized on Friday night. The nationalities of the Europeans are still undisclosed.
91 males and 169 females are among the detainees. A 25-second video from Fars agency showcased a scene that resembled a techno event. Always, unauthorized parties are disbanded by the authorities. Mixing men and women at parties is outright forbidden in the Islamic Republic with hefty punishments in some cases.
Frequently, the authorities crackdown on so-called "satanic" events in Iran. This usually targets parties or concerts with alcohol, which is largely illegal in the country. The regime also labels rock and heavy metal concerts satanic.
Coerced Confessions

Homemade alcohol may contain methanol if the distillation process is not done properly. This substance is hazardous and could lead to vision impairment or even death if consumed excessively. Reports from IRNA suggest methanol poisoning might be the underlying cause.
Drugs are consumed in Iran despite a strict ban. Numerous people are charged and executed for drug offenses. Hangings are typically the method of execution employed.
The United Nations estimates that at least 580 executions took place in 2022. The human rights organizations Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch stated that forced confessions are common occurrences in Iran. These confessions are usually coaxed by the use of torture techniques.
