Gera - No suspicious objects discovered after threatening letter

Following searches in official buildings due to a threatening letter, the police in Gera have given the all-clear. No suspicious objects were found, the police announced on Monday. Office operations could be resumed there. The operation lasted several hours.

The Office for Supply and Health had previously been evacuated. A threatening letter had been found there on Monday morning. Police officers had also searched the affected rooms with dogs. A police spokesperson did not reveal the exact content of the threatening letter when asked. The criminal investigation department is investigating an unknown person for threatening to commit a crime.
