Man injured in knife attack at subway station

One person was injured in a knife attack at a subway station in Berlin on Wednesday evening. The person was taken to hospital for treatment after the incident in the Kreuzberg district, the police announced on Thursday night. A spokesperson was unable to say how serious the injuries were when asked.

In such circumstances, emergency services are typically notified to provide aid. This unfortunate incident could also prompt calls for increased security measures to prevent similar crimes in the future.
