Klopp may experience frustration once more during the latest road match.

Jürgen Klopp's final away match in the Premier League is a chaotic encounter with six goals, various VAR decisions, a significant advantage and then an equalizer just before the finish. Liverpool FC earn a point from Birmingham.

Klopp didn't secure a victory in his final away game as Liverpool FC coach in the English soccer championship. In a hectic fixture on Monday night, the third-placed team in the English football division could only manage a 3:3 (2:1) draw against Champions League contenders Aston Villa despite taking a 3:1 lead. Goals from Martinez owning a goal after deflected cross (2nd) and Cody Gakpo (23rd) after reviews by the video assistant, together with Jarell Quansah (48th), gave the Reds a seemingly secure lead.

Youri Tielemans (12th) leveled the score for the home side, who are still aspiring to qualify for the top flight next season. The supposed equalizer in the second half by Ollie Watkins (52nd) was negated following a video review, due to a previous offside by Leon Bailey. In total, the VAR was invoked in four scenarios.

In the final minutes, substitute Jhon Duran (85th & 88th) scored for the fourth-placed side, rescuing a point. The equalizer came about in a peculiar fashion: a shot by Duran hit his leg, then sailed into the Reds' goal more by chance than strategy. The home side even had a chance to win, but Alisson saved a shot from Diaby in stoppage time. Afterwards, Aston Villa laid claim to a penalty, but with support from the VAR, an alleged handball situation by Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk was disproved in favor of the Reds.

A draw resulted, potentially significant for Villa in the struggle for Champions League qualification. Liverpool had already clinched their spot in the Champions League. The outgoing Klopp and the Reds will face Wolverhampton Wanderers next Sunday in their last game of the season.
