Katie Perry's mother was tricked by AI-generated pictures of the artist at the Met Gala.
In some photos circulating around X, it looked like the singer attended this year's Met Gala event. But they were actually created by artificial intelligence (AI), showcasing her in outfits fitting the garden theme.
Katy Perry even shared those AI-generated pictures on her Instagram, captioning it, "Had to work this year, couldn't make it to the MET."
Her mom, who apparently fell for the hoax, complimented her in a text: "Ha Feather! Didn't know you went to the Met. What a gorgeous gown. You look like the Rose Parade, you are your own float lol."
Perry responded: "lol mom the AI got you too, beware!"
Remember, she's worn extravagant outfits for this event before, such as her 2019 chandelier dress.
