Jake Gyllenhaal embraces the Boyz II Men vibe during his "Saturday Night Live" performance.
Jake Gyllenhaal recently graced the stage at 30 Rock in New York for Studio 8H, where he shared a few humorous jabs about the number 49. In particular, he made a joke about Conor McGregor allegedly punching him 49 times during their work on the "Road House" film reboot.
Adding to the entertainment, Jake then serenaded the audience with a rendition of "End of the Road" by Boyz II Men. Punkie Johnson, Kenan Thompson, Ego Nwodim, and Devon Walker - all cast members of SNL - joined in, bringing an added element of hilarity to the performance. Thompson truly shined as he enthusiastically proclaimed that this year's season was "definitely one of the top 48 seasons" of the show.
Gyllenhaal further added that this was "also the start of a new" era, dubbing it "the real first episode of Season 50". However, Nwodim swiftly corrected him saying, "Nope, it's not". Gyllenhaal responded lightheartedly, "Had to try".
Jake Gyllenhaal has hosted "Saturday Night Live" three times, with Sabrina Carpenter serving as the musical guest. His previous hosting stints were in 2007 and 2022.
