Iron bar hits employee on the head: danger to life
An employee of the Immendingen building yard (Tuttlingen district) has been hit on the head by an iron bar during asphalt work and critically injured. A rescue helicopter took him to hospital on Wednesday, according to the police.
The 55-year-old was working with colleagues to repair an asphalt surface. A part of the road surface was to be lifted with the fork of a wheel loader. According to the police, the employee wanted to help with an iron bar. The surface broke and the iron bar hit the man's head hard. The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
