Hotel footage implicates Sean "Diddy" Combs.

US authorities recently carried out a raid on the high-end residences of rapper and music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs after allegations of sexual misconduct and violence against women. The incident, which led to the search, involved a video that appears to show a disturbing exchange between Combs and his then-girlfriend Cassie in a hotel corridor in 2016.

The footage, aired by CNN, shows the Grammy-winning musician in just a white towel as he physically assaults the R&B singer. The video displayed him punching, kicking, pushing, and pulling Cassie, along with throwing a vase in her direction. This violent incident aligns with a lawsuit filed by Cassie, whose real name is Cassandra Ventura, in November of 2022. In the complaint, she accused her former lover of prolonged sexual abuse and assault. The lawsuit also underlined that Combs had paid the hotel 50,000 dollars to obtain the security video.

CNN, the cable network, did not specify the origin of the video, but declared they had confirmed the recording's location at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles by comparing it to publicly available images.

As per the lawsuit, Combs was said to be 'extremely drunk' prior to the event, causing Ventura to suffer a black eye. The claim asserts that Ventura tried to leave the hotel, which is suggested by her being captured on camera carrying a packed bag and walking toward elevators. Combs, seemingly awake, chased her down the hall and went on to assault her, shown in the video as dragging her back to their suite.

Interestingly, Ventura's lawsuit was made short-lived as it was settled with Combs the day after it was filed. However, more legal action and allegations surfaced, leading to searches in multiple properties of Combs in March. In February, producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones took legal action against Combs in a federal court in New York. He contended that the hip-hop icon sexually harassed, drugged, and threatened him between July 2021 and April 2022.

Following the allegations, Combs dismissed these claims as lies, with his legal team denying them in February. Though, his representatives have yet to comment on the surfaced video. The probe into the matter is still going on. To date, Combs has not faced any charges.
