Heino thanks for sympathy after Hannelore's death

Heino (84) has expressed his gratitude for the huge outpouring of sympathy following the death of his wife Hannelore. Heino's manager Helmut Werner told the German Press Agency on Thursday that he had received hundreds, if not thousands, of messages of sympathy.

"Heino is in great mourning and misses his Hannelore every moment. But he would like to let you know that he has received so many heartfelt messages and that he is very touched by the kind words you have sent him," the musician's website said on Thursday.

Singer and actress Hannelore Kramm was Heino's wife for more than four decades. She died a week ago, on November 8, at the age of 82 in Kitzbühel, Austria. Heino and Hannelore married in 1979 and were considered the dream couple of German folk music for many years.

Hannelore was buried on Wednesday at the cemetery in Kitzbühel with her closest friends and family. Werner reported that Heino had laid 44 red roses, one for each year of marriage, on Hannelore's grave. "Heino was able to say goodbye in silence."

Heino's church tour, which was originally due to continue this weekend, will go ahead, the manager announced: "Heino will continue to sing." However, the first concerts would be postponed. The tour will resume on November 24 in Dresden. "The tour in the churches was Hannelore's idea. This tour will take place in memory of Hannelore," said Werner. "Heino needs his fans more than ever."

Heino appreciates the heartfelt messages of sympathy he's received through various media platforms, including Music and Television. This outpouring of kindness has helped him cope during this difficult time.

Despite his grief, Heino is determined to continue his church tour, an idea inspired by Hannelore, which serves as a tribute to her memory in the World of Music and Media.
