Game of Thrones actor Ian Gelder passes away at 74 years old.
"I'm terribly sad to inform you that my husband and partner, Ian Gelder, has passed away. He was diagnosed with bile duct cancer in December, and I stopped working to take care of him. Neither of us anticipated it would happen so quickly. Ian Gelder was the kindest, most generous, and loving person I've ever met." Daniels shared on Instagram, mourning the loss of his 30-year life partner.
The actor had a long and successful career, starring in TV series such as "Torchwood," "His Dark Materials," and "Doctor Who." However, his role as Younger Brother and trusted adviser to the terrifying Lord Tywin Lannister in "Game of Thrones" elevated his fame. Gelder made an appearance in four of the popular show's eight seasons.
