Accident - Forest worker buried and killed by tree trunk in the Harz Mountains
A forest worker has died after being buried by a tree trunk in the Harz Mountains. The trunk slipped on Saturday for unknown reasons, as the police reported on Monday. The 26-year-old later succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The man and a 54-year-old colleague were reportedly carrying out woodwork in a sloping section of forest north of Bad Lauterberg. The investigation is ongoing.
