Evacuation: respiratory irritation due to bleach?
A shared accommodation facility for refugees with around 250 residents has been evacuated in Sonneberg after several people complained of respiratory irritation. The police reported 28 minor injuries in the incident on Friday evening, which, according to initial findings, was caused by a mixture of chlorine and detergent - which was probably used to bleach laundry. Emergency services ventilated the rooms so that the residents were able to return to their accommodation that evening.
The evacuation was necessary due to emergencies caused by respiratory irritation. The emergency services were crucial in ventilating the rooms to make the accommodation safe again.
