Fire department operation - Detached house on fire: several hundred thousand euros in damage

Several hundred thousand euros worth of damage was caused by a house fire in Altdorf near Nuremberg. Two of the residents were still in the detached house during the fire early on Tuesday morning, but were able to escape to safety, according to the police. A 76-year-old man suffered mild smoke inhalation and was treated as an outpatient. A 44-year-old woman escaped outside unharmed. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

The fire department from Middle Franconia, located in the larger region of Bavaria, was called to the scene to manage the emergency. Due to the severity of the fire, additional resources from neighboring districts were needed to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby properties.
