Collien Ulmen-Fernandes has Viva memorabilia in her cellar

Former Viva presenter Collien Ulmen-Fernandes keeps old memorabilia from her time on the discontinued music channel at home. "I still have the Viva hairdryer at home, but I never unpacked it," said the 42-year-old in an interview with the German Press Agency. Because it was never about the hairdryer itself: "I'm on the packaging, it's in my cellar." At home, she also has the energy drink "Viva Slap" distributed by Viva and Viva socks. "And I recently found the old autograph cards of my colleagues and myself. Our look really took some getting used to."

The private music channel Viva would have been 30 years old on December 1 if it hadn't been shut down at the end of 2018. For many young people, the music channel represented a way of life.

Collien Ulmen-Fernandes also has a colorful Viva-themed wall in her home, filled with memorabilia and photographs from her time on the channel. The music channel's 30th anniversary, had it not been for its closure, would have been celebrated with a special television program featuring old music videos and interviews.
