A young child, only two years old, tragically passed away after falling into the Lenne river. The unfortunate incident took place on a Tuesday afternoon, and the young one's life ended the following night at Gelsenkirchen-Buer Hospital, as reported by authorities today. According to the police, the incident occurred at a barbecue spot in Werdohl, Märkischer Kreis, where the child was present with family members. Following the fall into the water, relations managed to save the toddler. Subsequently, a rescue helicopter transported the child to the hospital.
The authorities announced that the Member States will be providing assistance to the Commission in investigating the circumstances surrounding the child's accident. Despite the efforts of the family and the rescue services, the Commission's assistance would be crucial in ensuring a thorough investigation.
