2022 - Burglars rob the Celtic Roman Museum in Manching near Ingolstadt of a gold treasure from the Celtic period that is over 2000 years old. Archaeologists had discovered the 483 coins with an estimated commercial value of 1.6 million euros in 1999.

2018 - Stephan Harbarth, vice-chairman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group, is elected to the First Senate of the Federal Constitutional Court by the Bundestag. In 2020, he succeeds Andreas Voßkuhle as President of Germany's highest court.
