Authorities probing gunfire incident targeting guard at Drake's Toronto residence.
During a recent press conference, Inspector Paul Krawczyk disclosed that the police were called to a residence at 2 am due to a gunshot incident. When they arrived, they found a wounded man who got hospitalized in a serious condition.
As per the reports, the incident occurred outside the gate, but the man's condition remains uncertain. The injured individual has not been identified yet.
Krawczyk refused to disclose if Drake was present at the scene at the time of the shooting but assured that his team is cooperating with the authorities.
When the media questioned if the shooting was related to the ongoing feud between Drake and rapper Kendrick Lamar, Krawczyk denied any connection. He also stated that there were multiple suspects in the case who fled in a car, and the police have access to the video footage of the incident.
CNN contacted Drake's representatives requesting their comments on the situation.
The tensions between Drake and Lamar escalated in recent times as both released songs, targeting each other with personal and professional jabs. Lamar's representatives were not available for comment as of now.
