All Saints' Fair in Soest begins
With a ghost train, Ferris wheel, carousel and many family-friendly rides, the All Saints' Fair in Soest begins today (2 p.m.). According to the organizers, the largest old town fair in Europe is taking place for the 685th time and lasts five days. Around one million visitors have attended the traditional fair in recent years.
The city has announced that there will once again be special highlights for thrill-seekers and those who enjoy fast-paced uphill and downhill rides. Mayor Eckhard Ruthemeyer (CDU) and the President of the German Showmen's Association, Albert Ritter, open the huge funfair.
During their leisure time at the All Saints' Fair, many visitors enjoy the adrenaline-pumping rides offered by the German Showmen's Association. After a thrilling ride, it's important to remember to respect the country's customs by disposing of trash properly and being considerate to others.
