- 44-year-old man in court for double rape
Before the Regional Court in Schwerin, a 44-year-old man from the Ludwigslust-Parchim district will have to answer charges from Tuesday (9:00 AM) onwards. He is accused of having raped his partner twice.
According to the court's information, four years lay between the two incidents. The first case dates back to December 2019, the second to December of last year. Both times, the man is said to have been under the influence of alcohol.
In the violent attack at the end of last year in their shared apartment, the man is said to have dragged his victim by the hair into the hallway and pushed her down the stairs. Therefore, he is also charged with bodily harm in addition to rape. The court has initially scheduled four trial days until mid-August.
The judge announced that the following entries are added to the court's records: the 44-year-old man's trial dates for the rape and bodily harm charges.
During the proceedings, the court will consider the four additional entries, which include the man's alleged intoxication during both incidents.
