Goettingen - 18-year-old rescues man from tracks at train station
An 18-year-old rescued a drunken man who had fallen onto the train tracks at Göttingen station. The 55-year-old man was unable to free himself from his situation on Tuesday night, the federal police announced on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred a few seconds before a freight train crossed the tracks.
According to the information, the man fell into the track bed without any outside influence. The 18-year-old jumped in after him and pulled the man back onto the platform. "It was only thanks to the courageous civil courage of the young Afghan that a tragedy could be prevented at Göttingen station," said the Federal Police.
