Actress Sophia Thomalla... - Why did she not witness Alexander Zverev's win?
Sophia Thomalla, aged 34, expressed delight over her partner, tennis player Alexander Zverev's (27) triumph over Rafael Nadal (37) at the French Open, Paris. Despite her personal inability to cheer on Zverev during the game, she shared a post from the tournament's organizer on her Instagram stories. The post read, "Two years after their unfinished match, Zverev beats Nadal for his first first-round loss at Roland Garros." In 2022, Zverev had been forced to retire due to injuries. In her stories, Thomalla added a cheerful face and a heart emoji as she applauded Zverev's winning pose, along with the words, "Meanwhile in Paris."
We can see from further posts that she had been keeping tabs on the match from her hotel room as she was currently filming.
Sophia Thomalla's current endeavors
Sophia Thomalla shared pictures of herself and accompanied them with the captions, "Another day in paradise" and "Season six, let's go" on her Instagram. These posts reference her involvement in the dating show "Are You The One?" which returned for its sixth season and was filmed once again on Koh Samui, Thailand. Since 2021, Thomalla has been the show's moderator.
Unfortunately, Zverev and Thomalla's romantic relationship does not offer him the same degree of support as they have to stay apart during the French Open in Paris. Zverev shared snippets of the match against Nadal, the record champion of the tournament, through his Instagram stories. One of these was a post highlighting him as "The third man who has ever beaten Rafa at Roland Garros."
Alexander Zverev and moderator Sophia Thomalla made their relationship public in October 2021, and in December of the same year, they appeared together at "Ein Herz für Kinder."
