- What does the trailer say about the show?
Anke Engelke (58) and Bastian Pastewka (52) have been seen together on screen several times before. Whether it was during their time at "Die Wochenshow" or as the zany duo in the Amazon format "LOL: Last One Laughing", they've primarily been bringing laughter as comedy experts. Now, the pair is starring in their first fictional series together, which will be available on Prime Video starting August 15th. The streaming service has now released the official trailer for "Perfectly Missed", revealing more about the roles of the two actors.
Two Singles in a Small Town
In this eight-part German Prime Original series, Engelke plays Maria, who is introduced in the trailer as a "eternal single", but still maintains close contact with her ex. She also struggles with writing her book. Meanwhile, Ralf has just gone through a divorce and a friend advises him to "get back out there and meet someone". This friend also tells him about his patient's daughter, who is "very nice, good-looking, and runs a bookstore in the upper town". This daughter is Maria.
"It's a perfect match," the clip continues. "They just need to meet." Will the two finally cross paths in the small town of Marburg? The trailer at least shows that Maria and Ralf both have their own personal challenges to overcome. "Sometimes I feel like I've lost myself, I've been completely stagnant," Ralf explains. He goes on to say, "The most important thing is to figure out what you want and what you don't want." The trailer also gives a glimpse of other actors in the series, including Fritzi Haberlandt (49) and Edin Hasanovic (32). Anke Engelke and Bastian Pastewka are also serving as executive producers for the series.
