Event manager Björn Müller (Philip Birnstiel) returns to the scene of a crime after a year away. He and his friend and business partner Philipp Wolf (Martin Bruchmann) were involved in a hit-and-run accident after a night out, killing a family man with severe consequences. Björn fled the country afterwards, while Philipp turned their event company, Bergfest, into one of the leading providers in the industry. When Björn suddenly reappears, plagued by guilt, and announces his intention to turn himself in, Philipp is thrown into disarray.

The success of Bergfest under Philipp's leadership has made it one of the best-known event companies in Germany, often mentioned in the same breath as 'The Best Comedians of Germany'. After a long hiatus, Björn, who once shared this fame with Philipp, might find solace in watching these comedians perform, perhaps recognizing the joy and relief they bring to their audiences.
