Ten concerts by megastar Adele await fans in Munich. That's what concertgoers should know about the shows.

- This is the most important information

British superstar Adele (36) will spend August 2024 in Munich. In total, the singer will perform ten times in the Bavarian capital. Eight years ago, she last played a total of six shows in Germany - in Berlin, Hamburg, and Cologne. Originally, Adele did not plan to be on stage this summer, but as she revealed in an Instagram post in January, the offer was too tempting. "A big party right in the middle of Europe? In Munich? Sounds a bit too good to be true, but nonetheless fabulous!", the singer wrote enthusiastically.

The performances came as a surprise

The singer ended her last tour in 2016 and 2017 with a series of concerts at the Wembley Stadium in London. In 2022, she started her first concert residency "Weekends with Adele" in Las Vegas. So far, she has performed 45 weekends at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Five more weekends, each with two shows, will follow in October and November of this year. On January 31, 2024, the musician announced her performances in Munich.

When is Adele in Munich?

In total, Adele will perform over a period of five weeks, twice each weekend. When the artist announced her Munich concerts, it was initially only four shows on August 2nd, 3rd, 9th, and 10th that she planned to play. Due to high demand, six more dates were added later. Between August 2nd and 31st, there are now a total of ten concerts. The high demand is not surprising, as the Munich gigs are the only Adele shows in all of Europe in 2024.

Where will the concerts take place?

A unique feature of the concerts is the location where they will take place. For the singer's shows, a pop-up stadium made of steel pipe frames has been built on the concert grounds at the Munich Trade Fair in Riem. The arena will have a diameter of about 300 meters and will offer a unique combination of seated tribunes, seating, and standing areas. 80,000 fans will be there every evening. The grounds are easiest to reach by U-Bahn via the Messestadt Ost stop. Alternatively, fans can use the U4 and U5 to Max-Weber-Platz and then take a shuttle bus to the grounds. The S2 S-Bahn line also goes to Riem, from where visitors will have to walk a short distance. Direct access to the grounds by car is not possible, but possible parking areas will be signposted. The concerts start at 7:30 PM.

Where will Adele stay?

The Grammy winner has reportedly chosen a luxurious location for her stay in Munich. She will reside in the elegant "Rosewood Hotel" in August, as reported by various sources including "Rolling Stone". She will live in a 451 square meter suite with four bedrooms, six bathrooms, and four living areas. A night in Adele's suite costs 30,000 euros.

Tickets are not yet sold out

More than 2.2 million fans had registered for the total of ten open-air concerts at the Munich Trade Fair by the end of the presale registration. The minimum price was 74.90 euros for a seat on the top tier of the tribune. Fans had to pay over 400 euros for a seat directly in front of the stage.

Just before the concerts, there's still the prospect of very affordable tickets. Event provider Ticketmaster offers so-called "Lucky Dip Tickets". These cost a total of 35 euros, including all fees, making them less than half the price of the cheapest regular tickets. The seats you get are a surprise - they could be anywhere from the back seats to the front standing area. The allocation of cheap tickets is staggered. Within 20 minutes, tickets for the first two performances on August 2nd and 3rd were sold out.

The upcoming exhibitions in Munich are highly anticipated

Fans are excited about the upcoming 'The exhibition' featuring Adele, as it will be her only shows in Europe in 2024.

Despite high demand, some lucky fans may still secure affordable tickets

While the majority of tickets for Adele's performances at the pop-up stadium have been sold, event provider Ticketmaster offers 'Lucky Dip Tickets' for a fraction of the regular price, providing a chance for more fans to attend 'The exhibition'.
