- Supermarket roof collapsed <unk> 12 people slightly injured
In the collapse of a supermarket roof in Ratzeburg, Schleswig-Holstein, at least twelve people were injured. It is still unclear whether there are more people in the building, a police spokesperson said on Tuesday. However, she considered this unlikely. Currently, a drone is being used to search for heat signatures under the rubble. Initially, the "Lübecker Nachrichten" reported this.
The reason for the collapse of the roof in the district town of the Herzogtum Lauenburg district is still unclear, she said. The emergency call was received at 17:10. Due to the severe risk of collapse, rescue forces could not enter the building.
The twelve injured are reported to be lightly injured. Some were taken to hospital, others were treated at the scene, the spokesperson said.
The police spokesperson mentioned that they're leveraging a drone to locate any potential other individuals trapped beneath the debris. It's highly uncertain at this point if more people are still inside the building.
