- Season 14 starts in September
One of the most popular music shows is making a comeback: The 14th season of "The Voice" of Germany is bringing back three returnees, Samu Haber (48), Yvonne Catterfeld (44), and Mark Forster (41), and introducing a new coach, Kamrad (27). The start date and time have now been confirmed.
"The Voice of Germany" will kick off on September 26th (Thursdays at 8:15 PM on ProSieben, Fridays at 8:15 PM on Sat.1, and both on Joyn) with the Blind Auditions. The coaches will take their seats and only turn around if they are convinced by the candidate's voice. If multiple coaches turn around, the singer must decide which team they want to join for their journey to the finale.
Yvonne Catterfeld expressed her excitement about returning to the show, saying, "I don't know anything that's as intense and energetic as 'The Voice of Germany'. You feel all the emotions around you, from excitement to disappointment. And the guys just chat all the time. I haven't experienced anything like it, so I immediately said yes when asked to come back."
A "full-blown coach fight" at the premiere
Mark Forster has a playful strategy for his comeback: "I'll get the best talents in my team by being louder than Yvonne, talking so fast that Samu can't understand me, and working as hard as possible to make sure no one knows who Kamrad really is." However, Samu Haber knows that his martial arts experience won't help him against his fellow coaches: "Martial Arts and the coach fights at 'The Voice of Germany' are both tough, but 'TVOG' is more painful because I can't train any defense against the other coaches' tricks in my dojo."
Kamrad also experienced a "full-blown coach fight" during his premiere, saying, "I was welcomed with confetti by Samu, Yvonne, and Mark, and then I learned the hard way on the red chair." Viewers can look forward to seeing how the coaches battle for the talents at the end of September.
Mark Forster was last seen on "The Voice of Germany" in 2022, Catterfeld was a coach from 2016 to 2018 and 2020, and also coached "The Voice Senior". Samu Haber was a coach in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2020, most recently sharing a seat with Rea Garvey (51).
Samu Haber, with his background in martial arts, jokingly admitted that his training won't aid him in the coach battles on "The Voice of Germany," as the art of persuasion and team charisma hold more weight in the competition.
During the Blind Auditions, audiences can expect to see Samu Haber, the 48-year-old music veteran, showcasing his unique coaching style and passion for discovering promising new talent.
