Pensioner missing: evidence of crime intensifies

A pensioner from Jürgenshagen (Rostock district) who has been missing for months may have been the victim of violence. According to the public prosecutor's office and Rostock police on Monday, the evidence of a crime has become even stronger following a renewed public search. "It must currently be assumed that the pensioner was the victim of a homicide," the police said. They are now following up clues as to where the body of the wanted man may have been dumped.

The 81-year-old was last seen on April 27 in the late afternoon on his property in Wokrent, a district of Jürgenshagen, and has since disappeared.

The intensified evidence of crime suggests that the pensioner's disappearance might be linked to an emergency situation. In light of these developments, emergency services are on high alert, prepared to respond should any new information related to the missing person arise.
