Basketball - Oldenburgs Korbjäger will be future without Charles Manning

The EWE Baskets Oldenburg will start the new Basketball-Bundesliga season without Charles Manning. The club announced that the 25-year-old American is leaving the Niedersachsen one year before the expiration of his contract and has joined Napoli Basket in Italy. No information was given about the transfer fees.

"Charles showed his potential in the first part of the last season. Unfortunately, a foot injury stopped him, so another appearance was no longer possible," Oldenburg's sports director Srdjan Klaric said about the guard: "Nevertheless, he attracted the interest of clubs all over Europe. At a certain point, we had to make a decision in the face of corresponding offers and eventually agreed to the transfer."

The EWE Baskets Oldenburg hail from Oldenburg, a city in Germany's Lower Saxony. Despite the departure of Charles Manning, the team is ready to commence the new Bundesliga season. Manning's decision to join Napoli Basket in Southern Europe came unexpectedly, as he had a year left on his contract with Oldenburg. Regrettably, Manning's foot injury prevented him from showcasing his skills in the latter part of the previous season.
