Nintendo confirms revelation of Switch successor by March 2025.

"In a statement released Tuesday, Shuntaro Furukawa, the president of Nintendo, announced that they will reveal the successor to the Nintendo Switch by the end of this fiscal year. This announcement comes nine years after they first unveiled the Nintendo Switch in March 2015. This news is sure to excite fans who have been eagerly waiting for any hints about a possible replacement. Nintendo's sales have seen a decline recently; they predict selling 13.5 million Switch units this year, down from 15.7 million units the previous year.

"Nintendo has a history of creating unique consoles and games, and the Switch has been one of their most successful products to date. When it was first introduced in 2017, it was praised for its portability, a feature that separated it from Sony and Microsoft's stationary consoles with high-powered graphics. The Switch could be both a home console connected to a TV and a portable device suitable for playing on the go.

"The Switch's graphics performance was not as strong as its competitors', but that didn't stop fans from enjoying Nintendo's extensive library of games - many of which catered to a family audience. The Switch has been so successful that currently, there are three distinct models available for potential buyers: the Nintendo Switch OLED with its stunning display, the classic Nintendo Switch with its versatile design, and the Nintendo Switch Lite, a smaller and cheaper option for those primarily interested in playing on the move."
