- Italian "Death's Messenger" admits to committing four homicides
A 48-year-old Italian caregiver, hailing from Caserta in Italy's south, admitted to intentionally causing the deaths of at least four elderly individuals by excessively administering medication. Surprisingly, accompanied by his legal representatives, he surrendered to the authorities, claiming his actions aimed to alleviate the victims' agony and distress. The eldest among these victims was reportedly a 96-year-old man.
As per "Corriere della Sera," this individual had been providing care to elderly folks in their homes for over a decade without any recognized qualifications. It's speculated that he tenderly looked after around 30 vulnerable adults, sometimes even residing with them. At the moment, he's detained while the authorities probe any additional suspicious casualties potentially related to him. The Italian press has nicknamed him the "Death's Angel." In his confession, he yearned for help from the police, "Aid me, so I don't do it again."
The Italian press has labeled him the "Angels of death" due to his alleged actions. Despite his intention to alleviate the victims' suffering, his actions are being investigated as potential additional suspicious casualties.
