After the partial collapse of a hotel in Kröv on the Mosel, rescue teams managed to extricate four people from the rubble: a two-year-old child and two women and one man. Their condition was initially unclear. The spokesperson for the Technical Operations Command of the Bernkastel-Wittlich district, Gregor Zehe, stated: "The rescue operation is incredibly challenging." Given the unstable situation, one must be precise about each step taken.

One fatality was confirmed by the rescue teams. Eight other people were trapped and injured by debris in the building, two of whom had no contact. According to the police, a floor of the building in the Verbandsgemeinde Traben-Trarbach collapsed around 11 pm. There were 14 people in the house at the time, five of whom managed to escape unharmed. 31 residents in the immediate vicinity had to be evacuated.

The eight trapped individuals include two individuals who have lost contact with rescuers. The other evacuated residents are now seeking temporary accommodations.
