Faeser criticizes climate protests at airports

At airports such as Berlin-Brandenburg and Stuttgart, two individuals had glued themselves to each location in the morning, but not on runways. They demanded an exit agreement for fossil fuels. Police took them into custody. In Cologne-Bonn, eight departures and eight landings were canceled, and one flight was canceled in Nuremberg. Flight operations in Berlin and Stuttgart were not affected.

"These activists are not only risking their own lives but also endangering others," Faeser criticized. She added, "We have proposed severe penalties. We are also requiring airports to significantly improve their security measures."

Faeser expressed concerns about the actions of the activists, stating, "These actions not only put their own lives at risk but also endanger other passengers and airport staff." Furthermore, she highlighted their proposed solutions, saying, "We have suggested strict penalties and are advocating for significant enhancements in the security measures at airports."
