Serious traffic accident while fleeing
The young man reportedly fled the scene by car and caused a serious accident in Lower Saxony's Seesen. Both the defendant and another man were injured in the accident. Since then, the 18-year-old has been in custody. He is also accused of causing grievous bodily harm due to this accident.
The trial ended sooner than expected. The court had originally scheduled the proceedings until August 15.
The fact that the trial is taking place in camera, according to the Juvenile Court Act, is due to the fact that a bodily injury from November 2023 is also part of the indictment.
