Dog escapes: Two people injured by bites
Two people, including a police officer, have been seriously injured by dog bites in Koblenz. As the Koblenz police headquarters announced on Monday, two dogs escaped from a property in the Kesselheim district in the morning. One person was bitten in the process.
The dog owner was initially able to restrain both animals, but one dog broke loose and seriously injured a police dog handler who had been called to the scene. The loose dog was killed on the spot to prevent further damage. It was initially unclear what happened to the other dog.
In such emergencies, animal control services are often called to handle escaping animals to ensure public safety. Unfortunately, these incidents can result in serious injuries, as demonstrated by the two people who were bitten by the escaped dogs in Koblenz.
