Cruz resists unequivocally endorsing 2024 election results.

Sen. Ted Cruz, a Republican, did not confirm on Wednesday that he will wholeheartedly accept the outcome of the 2024 elections. This is part of a trend among well-known Republicans who are expressing doubts about the authenticity of the upcoming presidential polls.

Cruz resists unequivocally endorsing 2024 election results.

When questioned by Kaitlan Collins from CNN about whether Cruz would accept the outcome of the 2024 election no matter who the winner is, he responded: "That's a ridiculous question." He went on to say, "They're asking if I will promise to consider any election as legitimate, regardless of the circumstances. Such a claim is absurd."

Cruz has previously disputed the results of Arizona's election on January 6, 2021. During his conversation with Collins, he claimed, without any evidence, that the 2020 election was marred with fraud. "If Democrats win in 2024, I'll accept the results, but I won't ignore any fraud," he added.

Several prominent Republicans have already expressed skepticism about the 2024 election results. Donald Trump himself has said he would only accept the results "if everything's honest." Representatives like Elise Stefanik from New York and J.D. Vance from Ohio, who are seen as potential running mates for Trump, have expressed similar sentiments, stating that they wouldn't have certified the 2020 election outcomes if they'd been Trump's vice president. Additionally, South Carolina's Republican Senator Tim Scott has not commented on whether he would have verified the results as vice president.

Regarding the controversy surrounding Justice Samuel Alito's flag displays at his homes, Cruz came to his defense. "This entire commotion is greatly exaggerated," Cruz said. "There's a coordinated attack organized by Democrats in the Senate to discredit the court and defame individuals. This is appalling."

Cruz emphasized Alito's explanation that his wife hoisted the symbol of discontent due to offensive signs in their neighborhood. "There are justices whose views I don't agree with, but we must maintain civility and respect," Cruz said. "Justice Alito noted that his wife was disturbed."
