Burst pipe: villages in Münsterland without drinking water

Following a burst pipe, two villages in the district of Coesfeld in Münsterland have been cut off from the drinking water network. This was announced by the fire department in Mülheim/Ruhr.

For this reason, a unique emergency drinking water supply system from the Ruhr region was deployed to the damaged area. A supply of drinking water tanks had been set up at several locations.

Schools and other facilities were supplied with large containers. The local water supplier is working flat out to repair the damage. However, this is expected to take several more days.

Due to the burst pipe, the affected villages in Münsterland are currently dealing with an emergency situation, requiring them to rely on the temporary drinking water supply. The fire department has deployed a unique emergency system from the Ruhr region to address this issue.
