Britney Spears (42) is reportedly getting her own biopic, according to US entertainment media. Britney Spears Working on Secret Project

Spears seems to confirm the project and hints on the social media platform X that she is directly involved. She expresses her excitement about working with Marc Platt on a "secret project," stating that he has "always been my favorite film producer." Platt is a veteran in Hollywood, having produced films like "Legally Blonde," "Girl on the Train," and the critically acclaimed "La La Land."

According to a press release from publishing group Simon & Schuster, "The Woman in Me" had sold over two million copies in the US alone by mid-January 2024. Spears' autobiography was published at the end of October 2023. An audiobook version read by actress Michelle Williams (43) was reportedly the fastest-selling audiobook in the history of the Gallery Books imprint at that time.

It is not yet known when the biopic might be released. Details about the film adaptation of "The Woman in Me," including potential cast members, are also not available. However, the information suggests that the project is still in its early development stages.

Britney Spears expresses her gratitude to producer Marc Platt for being her favorite, as they collaborate on an unspecified project, likely referencing their work on the biopic based on her autobiography "The Woman in Me."

Given the commercial success of "The Woman in Me," with over two million copies sold by mid-January 2024, there is significant anticipation for the upcoming film adaptation.
