16-year-old dies after two cars collide
A 16-year-old died following a collision between two cars in the Landsberg district of Kockwitz (Saalekreis) on Saturday evening. As the Halle police reported on Sunday, rescue workers tried in vain to resuscitate the teenager for almost an hour. The three people in the other car, aged 36, 30 and 5, were seriously injured, according to the police. The 18-year-old driver, who was traveling with the 16-year-old, suffered minor injuries. The police are now investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
The incident highlighted the need for improved road safety measures in the area, as accidents like these can often lead to serious emergencies on the road. To prevent such incidents in the future, traffic regulations should be strictly enforced.
