14-year-old climbs onto freight wagon and gets electrocuted
A teenager climbed onto a freight wagon in Niesky (Görlitz district) and suffered an electric shock. The 14-year-old touched the live overhead line on Saturday and had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries, as the federal police announced on Sunday. Entering railroad installations is associated with considerable dangers, which can sometimes even be fatal, it added.
The incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers associated with emergency situations near railroad installations. In such emergencies, quick and appropriate actions are crucial to minimize harm.
