Germany's Meteorological Authority Issues Forecasts German Weather Service Releases Weather Predictions - Over the weekend, people gathered under rainy weather to witness a public event.

During the first weekend of the European Football Championship, the German weather service (DWD) predicts mixed weather conditions for open-air public viewing. While temperatures may reach up to 25 degrees Celsius, rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds are set to accompany these outdoor events. In the south and east, a short heatwave is forecast for the upcoming week, with sunny periods expected.

Saturday is set to see a range of temperatures between 17 and 23 degrees Celsius, and occasional downpours, especially in the north and southeast. Expecting thunderstorms with heavy rain in these areas, the day will see occasional rain showers in other places. Winds are expected to pick up in the west and the Alpine foothills regions. A significant drop in temperature to 7 to 13 degrees Celsius is expected overnight.

Sunday is set to be sunny and colorful in the south and east, says the DWD. However, showers and thunderstorms are expected to hit the north and west. The thermometer will read between 18 and 23 degrees Celsius, with the warmest temperatures recorded in the Lusatia region (25 degrees Celsius).

As the week begins, rising temperatures up to 28 degrees Celsius are anticipated in the south and east, along with prolonged sunshine. In other parts, the air will feel comfortably warm with 19 to 25 degrees Celsius. Showers and individual, powerful thunderstorms with heavy rain may occur in the north and west. Meteorologist Adrian Leyser suggests that since the air mass is getting more humid and heavy, the risk of severe thunderstorms and heavy rain is increasing. These heavy rain showers may last for several hours in some places.

The summer heat may continue in the south and east for several more days, with a chance of temperatures reaching or even surpassing the 30-degree mark.
