"The Phantom of the Opera," one of the most renowned musicals, has returned with the continuation titled "Love Never Dies," composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The performance is now being held in front of the Magdeburg Dom cathedral, marking a significant achievement for the City Theatre Magdeburg – it was the first time they obtained the rights to present an internationally successful musical.

According to a representative from the City Theatre Magdeburg, "Love Never Dies - Love Never Dies" also happens to be their first open-air musical, which has already sold out or had reservations for all 18 performances up until July 7. With a total of 22,932 tickets available.

The plot revolves around the Phantom, whose love Christine and her husband Raoul encounter him again after a decade since their encounter in the catacombs of the Paris Opera House. The Phantom has relocated to New York, where he runs a pleasure park on Coney Island. Once more, Christine is expected to perform there. The City Theatre Magdeburg mentions that as long-repressed emotions surface, old conflicts resurface, and the legendary composer's masterful score majestically combines passionate ballads, elaborate vaudeville songs, and catchy pop tunes.
