Boxer Mike Tyson in Questionable Revelation - Postponement of upcoming boxing return

Mike Tyson's (57) anticipated boxing return against YouTuber Jake Paul (27) is now on hold. Although there were plans for a match on July 20, 2024, a medical issue arose during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles in late May. This incident, involving a stomach ulcer flare-up causing dizziness and nausea about 30 minutes before landing, caused Tyson to be medically treated.

Initially, the incident was thought to have no effect on the upcoming fight, but Netflix, the streaming service airing the live event, provided an update stating that Tyson's doctor had ordered him to pause his training for a few weeks to rest and recuperate. This swift turn of events prompts Tyson to say, "Even 'Iron Mike' has to obey his doctor's orders." And according to Netflix's official website, "Tudum," his doctor instructed him to take a break from his training program.

Staying combative

Tyson remarked, "I've been told to tone down my training for a bit to rest and recover." He expressed gratitude towards his global fanbase, emphasizing his current physical condition is superior to the 1990s and assured them that he'll soon resume full-fledged training. Tyson concluded, "Jake Paul, you may have some extra time, but ultimately, you'll go down, retire from boxing, and never return. I'm grateful for the support and look forward to giving an unforgettable performance this year."

Although the "Tyson vs. Paul" battle's exact date remains undisclosed, Tyson's previous fight - a show match versus Roy Jones Jr. (55) - happened in July 2020. This event marked his departure from the boxing arena for a decade and a half.
