Hamburg: News Update - Many motorcyclists at the bike maintenance event.

The organizers of a motorcycle event in Hamburg claimed it to be one of the biggest in Europe, as the Michel on Sunday saw a massive turnout from both male and female riders. Approximately 3,000 bikers parked in front of the Michel, according to a representative of the traditional event.

The church was almost full, with over 90% occupancy. Past events saw up to 20,000 motorcyclists joining the service or participating in the subsequent parade in the Hanseatic city.

Sadly, this year's bike parade had to be canceled due to construction work on the A7 motorway. This diverted traffic over the Elbe bridges, making it impossible for the motorcade to go through as planned. Despite this, a significant number of bikers still gathered right in front of the Michel.

The Hamburg motorcycle service began in the early 1980s and was organized by a police pastor at the time, attracting around 3,000 participants carrying over 1,000 bikes in 2022.
