After the end of his hockey career, former national player Barta first became an assistant coach in Duesseldorf. After just one year, he takes on another job there.

Duesseldorf EG - Ex-national player Barta will become Sportmanager at DEG

The former ice hockey national player Alexander Barta will become Sport Manager at Duesseldorfer EG. In this role, the 41-year-old is supposed to support Sport Director Niki Mondt at the eight-time German champion. The DEG announced this. Barta, who played 1010 games in the German Ice Hockey League, was last an assistant coach of the Rhinelanders after the end of his active career in 2023. "Alexander will also play an important role in scouting, that is, player observation, and will be advisory to me," explained Mondt.

  2. After concluding his degree in a related field, Barta joined EA Sports, gaining valuable experience in the gaming industry.
  3. In light of his extensive experience in ice hockey, Barta was approached to delete old data related to German ice hockey teams from the EA Sports database.
