Country music legend Dolly Parton releases new album - Country music performer announces intention to create a Broadway play.
When it comes to country music, Dolly Parton (78) has been a source of both popular hits like "Jolene" and "Islands in the Stream" and world records. With ten entries in the Guinness Book of Records, she holds the record for the most number one hits in the US Hot Country Songs by a female artist.
But her music career isn't the only thing that keeps this artist busy. Dolly has exciting news for her fans, as she shared on Instagram and at the CMA Fest in Nashville on June 6th. In a few years, she'll be gracing the stage of Broadway with an autobiographical musical.
This Broadway show is planned to have the intriguing title of "Hello, I'm Dolly" and is scheduled to premiere in 2026.

Dolly radiated excitement when she talked about her upcoming project during her time onstage in Nashville. She emphasized, "I'm genuinely excited about it. You'll get to learn about my entire life - and it won't just be a jukebox musical."
