Fire in Lahr - A injured person and millions in damages due to warehouse fire
At a warehouse fire in Lahr (Ortenaukreis), a million-dollar damage has occurred. A worker was injured by the smoke, according to the police. For unknown reasons, a container was on fire in the night on Tuesday. The fire then spread to the building.
Approximately 100 response forces were deployed. The damage is estimated to be in the millions of Euros. The warehouse belongs to a mill, said a police spokesperson.
The fire department from Lahr and surrounding areas in the Ortenau District responded to the emergency. The Mill in Baden-Württemberg is currently dealing with over a million-dollar worth of damage due to the fire. The worker's rescue and extinguishing efforts were hindered by the rapidly spreading fire within the warehouse.
