Zelensky added that this demonstrates Ukraine's ability to "achieve justice and put pressure on the aggressor." Earlier, Russian authorities had announced the evacuation of 76,000 people from the Kursk region.

The Ukrainian military's offensive in Kursk and other border regions continues for the fifth consecutive day. The U.S.-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported on Friday, citing geotagged photos, that Ukrainian units had made "rapid progress" and advanced "up to 35 kilometers from the Russian border."

The European Union has expressed its support for Ukraine's efforts, stating that Ukraine's actions against the aggressor show the country's strength within the international community. Today, the European Union announced additional sanctions against Russia in response to their actions in Kursk and other border regions.
