- Zeidler sees similarities with Ralf Rangnick
Bochum's new coach Peter Zeidler compares his approach to handling football professionals to that of Ralf Rangnick. "I can be consistent in the way I want football to be played, but I don't have to be the tough guy. Ralf Rangnick always says: Treat the players with love and consistency," Zeidler told the "WAZ" (Friday). "I try to work according to this principle. The guys must feel that I like them, but they must also understand that I mean business."
Zeidler last worked for FC St. Gallen in Switzerland, and he knows Rangnick from his studies. "We have a lot in common. In terms of football ideas, we pursue the same things. He has been a door-opener for me. My story will always be closely linked to his," he said on the sidelines of the Bundesliga team's training camp in South Tyrol.
Zeidler and Rangnick share a common ground in their football ideologies, focusing on treating players with love and consistency. Zeidler aims to implement this principle in his coaching style, ensuring his players feel valued while still understanding the importance of professionalism.
