train traffic - Würzburg station temporarily closed due to bomb threat
Following a bomb threat at the Würzburg main station, police have given the all-clear. Overnight, a message about a possible bomb at the station was received at the Würzburg-Stadt police station, police reported. As a result, the station was closed and searched.
However, nothing dangerous was found. Consequently, the closure was lifted. The criminal police are investigating the source of the threat.
As reported by Deutsche Bahn, the main station was closed between 5 a.m. and 5:45 a.m. Trains that were supposed to travel to Würzburg were held back and were able to continue their journey with a delay afterwards.
The bomb threat was initially directed towards the Railway station in Würzburg. After the search, passengers were allowed to resume their journeys from the Würzburg main station.
